China\\'s economy maintained a steady recovery, and the recovery trend of logistics continued in the first three quarters

China Federation of logistics and purchasing today (October 27) released the logistics operation data for the first three quarters of this year. In the first three quarters, with the overall promotion of epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development, China's economy maintained a steady recovery and the quality of development further improved. In this context, the recovery trend of logistics continues, and the main indicators remain in the rapid growth range.

In the first three quarters of this year, China's social logistics totaled 234.5 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.4%, an increase of 9.4 percentage points over the same period last year, and an average annual growth of 6.6% in the two years. On a month on month basis, the growth rate in the third quarter was 3.5 percentage points lower than that in the second quarter.

In terms of structure, the logistics demand structure continues to improve and the new momentum continues to be active.

In the first three quarters, the total logistics volume of industrial products increased by 11.8% year-on-year, with an average growth rate of 6.4% in the two years, which is equivalent to the level before the epidemic. The equipment manufacturing industry and high-tech manufacturing industry played a significant leading role, with a year-on-year increase of 16.2% and 20.1% respectively. The average growth rate in the two years was 10.3% and 12.8% respectively, which were more than 4 percentage points higher than the level in the same period before the epidemic.

In the first three quarters, the total logistics volume of units and residents increased by 13.8% year-on-year, with an average increase of 13.4% in the two years. New business forms and new driving forces continue to drive the rapid growth of consumer logistics demand, and the growth of online retail and e-commerce logistics continues to be good.

In addition, the import logistics volume decreased by 7.9% in September, and the import logistics volume has decreased for four consecutive months since June. From the perspective of different goods categories, the import volume of some bulk commodities fell to varying degrees, while the import volume of some agricultural and sideline products and automobiles increased steadily. The import volume of high-tech products and electromechanical products maintained a rapid growth, and the import volume of machine tools and integrated circuits increased by more than 30%.
